This Event is very similar to the Country Fair and it takes place in the Public Rooms Bodmin each December. With stalls for people and organisations to raise money for their own cause. CHRISTMAS FAIR 2008 Will be held this year in the Shire Suite Bodmin on 6th Dec. CHRISTMAS FAIR 2007 Sat 8th of December, What a day, it was very wet and windy but a cheery welcome awaited all at the public rooms for our annual Christmas Fair. We were well down on last years record attendance but the stalls looked good & the people who did brave it seemed to have had a good time. We had hoped to have had Father Christmas on His Sleigh outside to greet everyone but due to the weather he arrived by car and spent time visiting the stalls. Below is a picture of one of the many stalls and part of our team of Lions Ladies on the catering stall.
CHRISTMAS FAIR 2006 Bodmin Lions Christmas Fair £ 4000 record The Lions were once again proud to host the Annual Craft and Christmas fair in the Public Rooms on Saturday 2nd. December. Whilst being initially apprehensive about the effect that the adjacent French Market might have we are delighted to report that the extra shoppers attracted to Mount Folly seemed to add to our attendance. We welcomed a record number of nearly 1000 customers whose generosity provided an income boost to the stallholders of some £ 4000. In fact by lunchtime several had sold out. Many of the stalls are manned by smaller local charities providing them with an opportunity to raise funds on a scale they wouldn’t manage independently. Bodmin Lions would like to thank all who supported the event not least the people of Bodmin who made it all so worthwhile. Sorry yet again no pictures. CHRISTMAS FAIR 2005 The 2005 Fair was on Sat 3rd of Dec. It was opened by Dan Rogerson MP and it was a successful event but unfortunately I have no pictures or report to put on our site.
